The first GED test of 2005 is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Payson Campus of Gila Community College. The exam will begin at 8 a.m. and persons wishing to take the test must sign up by Friday, Feb. 18 at the campus.
Please bring two types of identification; one must be a picture ID. High school ID cards are not acceptable. The most common types are a valid driver's license and a birth certificate or Social Security card. In addition, persons under the age of 18 must have notarized parental permission and a letter from their last high school attended indicating that they have dropped out of school officially.
The cost of the test is $55 for all five parts. The cost of retaking any part of the test is $10 per test. First-time test-takers must pay to take all five parts, but may return at a later testing date if they wish to do only part of the battery on their first attempt.
All five parts take approximately 7.5 hours.
Please bring a lunch, which you may eat during a break.
