Margaret Irene Jackowski, 92, died Feb. 23, 2005 in Payson. She was born in southern Maryland Sept. 3, 1912 to Bernard and Grace Mattingly, the oldest of five children.
Mrs. Jackowski married Edward Jackowski on May 3, 1930, in Washington D.C. They moved to Phoenix in 1946 and established the Phoenix Limb Shop. She moved to Powell House in Payson in 1998.
She is survived by daughter, Lenora (Dale) Jenkins; son, Ronald (Sally) Jackowski; grandchildren, Robert Jenkins, Cindy Kenniger, Douglas, Michael and Phillip Jackowski; great-grandchildren, Steve Jenkins, Stacy Dalton, Shawn McKay, Melanie Gray, and Matthew, Nicholas, Danny, Joey, Holley, Christopher and Tyler Jackowski; great-great-grandchildren, Breeanna and Bryce Dalton, Hope and Harleigh McKay and Jamal, Marquise and Nicolas Gray.
She was preceded in death in 1991 by her husband of 61 years, Edward; two brothers and two sisters.
A Rosary service will be at 7 p.m., Feb. 25. Memorial service is at 10 a.m., Feb. 26, at Whitney and Murphey Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. in Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
