Maryann H. Cosgrave, 72, of Payson, died Feb. 20, 2005. She was born May 27, 1932 in Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. Cosgrave was born to John and Helen Frat. She married James Cosgrave on July 9, 1955. She graduated from Harrison High School in Chicago, and Michael Reese Hospital School of X-Ray Technology.
She received an associate's degree from Morton College Nursing Program, a bachelor's degree from Lewis University and a master's degree from Aurora University.
Mrs. Cosgrave's career included the family practice residency program at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill.; medical education at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill.; medical education at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, Ill.; Illinois Academy of Family Practice Medicine for Today Program; and site inspector for medical education at Illinois State Medical Society.
She volunteered at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Ill.; St. John the Baptist Ministry of Care Program in Winfield, Ill.; and Arizona Senior Services Computer Training Programs in Fountain Hills.
She was PTA president at Haley School, director of Youth Commission Village of Stickney, and Citizen of the Year in Stickney, Ill.
Mrs. Cosgrave is survived by her husband, James Cosgrave of Payson; children, John Cosgrave of Chicago, Susan DeLude of Stickney, Ill., Cathy Cosgrave of Payson, and Linda Biddinger of Warrenville, Ill.; grandchildren, Joshua and Michael Biddinger of Warrenville, Ill., and Adam and Russell Delude of Stickney, Ill.
There will be a memorial Mass at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 511 S. St. Phillips St.
