Wilford "Ray" Sevy, 73, of Payson, died Jan. 21, 2005 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mr. Sevy joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 20 years, retiring from the Air Force with the rank of master sergeant.
He was president of Phoenix Institute of Technology for many years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Payson, and the Masonic Lodge in North Charleston, S.C.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Melanie Lee (Harry) Houghton of Lincolnton, Ga.; sons, Gregory Ray Sevy of Idaho City, Idaho and Brent Ray (Cindy) Sevy of Iva, S.C.; stepsons, Michael A. (Barbara) McClanahan of Mesa, Ariz. and Gregg L. McClanahan of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Ward Larry (Carole) and V.M. (Flora) Sevy of Roy, Utah; and eight grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ward Clinton Sevy and Mamie Black Sevy; and sister, Marjorie Ann Bertlshofer.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
