Thanks From Blood Drive Workers

Thank you to the many committed and loyal donors in Payson, and the surrounding areas, who braved the new roundabout to support the June 27 Payson Community Blood Drive.

A total of 86 units were donated to the United Blood Services for the use of the northern Arizona hospitals.

A special thank-you goes to the wonderful, dedicated volunteers who helped with all phases of the drive from distributing posters to calling donors, serving at the registration table, baking cookies, serving refreshments to donors, and setting up, taking down and cleaning up afterwards.

Thank you to the First Church of the Nazarene, which generously allowed us to use their facilities for the drive.

The support of the business community to display the posters and signs is appreciated. As are the announcements in the Payson Roundup, and by radio stations KMOG and KRIM. They are invaluable.

Thank you to D.J. Craig for providing us with music that created a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere for the donors, techs and workers.

Last, but by no means least, we appreciate the generous support of Bob Mykleby of Bashas' and Dan Dillon of Safeway for their donations of supplies, juice for the donors and pizza for the technicians' lunches. Thank you.

If you would like to be a volunteer or make an appointment for the Payson Community Blood Drive on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, please call me at (928) 474-8081.
