Woodrow Hanaford, 89, of Payson, died July 2, 2005. He was born Aug. 31, 1915 in Detroit, Mich.
Mr. Hanaford was a finish carpenter and built two homes from the ground up for his family. He was a World War II Navy veteran who was a mine sweeper in Pearl Harbor on board the Destroyer Elliot.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Pauline Hanaford of Payson; children, Geraldine Penny Schell of Deerborn, Mich.; Dennis Woodie Hanaford of Phoenix; and Constance Dale McEnany, also of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2005 at the Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho, Payson, Ariz.
