I am back in town and it is wonderful to be here. There is no place like home, particularly when that home is in Strawberry. It is a little warm however. Hopefully the rains will come soon.
It was wonderful to see so many people at the ice cream social and history lesson on Saturday at the Pine Community Center. Mike Anderson's talk was informative and interesting.
Everyone enjoyed looking at the photo collection of early Pine and Strawberry taken by Ed Toliver. It is amazing how historic and antique can refer to things that are not as old as we are. The event was sponsored by the Isabelle Hunt Memorial Library. Many thanks for a great event.
Meetings, meetings, meetings
The Pine-Strawberry Medical Clinic Board of Directors is holding its annual meeting at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 16 at the clinic in Pine. New officers will be installed and the annual budget will be reviewed. Feedback from the community about the clinic will be received at this time. Any interested community members are welcome to attend.
The clinic provides a wonderful service to our communities.
The PC User's Group will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 19 in the senior dining room at the Pine Community Center.
This month, the group will investigate some of the programs that are included in the Windows system. Most users are familiar with Solitaire and the disk defragmenter, but have not used many of the other programs.
On many new computers, some of these programs have not been activated. We will take a look at the programs that are available and how they can be used and also how to activate and deactivate them.
There also will be a demonstration on virus removal from a PC.
The Pine Library Friends will meet at 1 p.m., Monday, July 25 at the Isabelle Hunt Memorial Library. Grace Knowles and Carol Lease from Payson Birders will talk about local birds and share advice about bird feeders and such with those who enjoy our birds. Everyone is invited to this program.
The library is in need of a few volunteers. What a great summer volunteer job -- be inside and working with all kinds of books. Call or stop by and talk with Becky Waer. And talk with those who are volunteering now. It is great fun.

Some chairs will be part of a silent auction and the remaining will be part of the live auction to follow.
