Rotary Club Brings Taste Of The Islands To Rim Country

Pualani Burns, a Hawaiian native, treats the audience to a traditional Hula dance.

The Rotary Club of Payson's Tips for Rotarians Luau at Mad Dawg's and Mel's Saturday brought in nearly $3,000 and 180 diners.

"We had a great turnout," said Tips for Rotarians chairwoman, Celeste Parsons. "We look forward to using the money to benefit our local charities."

The Rotary Club of Payson thanks the organizations that donated the gifts for the raffle, Pioneer Title Agency, Legacy Home Furnishings and Stockmen's Bank and Wal-Mart for donating the helium for the Rotary balloons. Parsons applauded servers Tara Keeney, Scott Flake, Steve Booth, Rex Hinshaw, Dan Hill and Laurie Brunson, and all the other Rotarians for making the Rotary Luau a success.
