Aspiring middle and high school volleyball players will have the opportunity to improve their court skills at the upcoming Lady Longhorn summer camp.
Payson High School coach Arnold Stonebrink said camp staff -- which includes junior varsity coach Judy Perham, freshman coach Carol Hayes and several varsity players -- will help the campers improve their serving, passing and spiking skills.
"We'll teach them the very basics," Stonebrink said. "We want to get them ready for middle school or freshman volleyball."
The camp is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 13 and 14 in Wilson Dome. It is open to prospective players entering grades six through nine next school year. The camp fee is $30.
Although registrations will be accepted on the opening day of camp in the dome, Stonebrink recommends campers and their parents preregister in the athletic director's office at Payson High School.
"Parents will need to be there to sign the waivers," Stonebrink said.
