Trailer Available For Forest Refuse

The Christopher/Kohl's Fire District has acquired a 10,000-pound dump trailer for the cleanup effort in conjunction with the Urban Interface Grant.

According to Sam Seay, Fire Department liaison, the trailer is available for vegetation clean up by reserving it at the fire station.

They are hoping to get the State Land Department/Forestry Division to give a Firewise/ Assessment seminar here in Christopher Creek.

The homeowners associations and individual action groups are showing an interest in the Firewise Program, and are moving forward.

Parrots in the Pines

The Landmark Restaurant and Saloon is having their Third Annual Parrots in the Pines Jimmy Buffet Celebration Friday, June 10, 11 and 12.

Ray Cody and "Mexican" Mark Mulligan will return for this summer event. On Friday evening, Mark Mulligan will be doing an acoustical set outside under the stars. On Saturday, Mark and Ray Cody will be switching off all afternoon and into the evening. So get out of the heat and bring your parrot hats, Hawaiian shirts, and appetite for entertainment to Christopher Creek for this popular event.

The Christopher Creek Homeowners Association will sponsor its communitywide cleanup Saturday, June 11, beginning at 9 a.m. This is an opportunity for you to dispose of your leaves, needles, sticks, and limbs that have accumulated in your yards throughout the winter. Vacation Bible School

Want to get your child involved in something good? Vacation Bible School starts Monday, July 18 through Friday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to noon every day at the Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship Chapel in Christopher Creek.

This year's theme is Jungle Adventure, discovering God's Love.
