Tropical Nights is the theme of the ninth annual Kiwanis dinner and auction on Saturday, June 18 at the Mazatzal Casino.
The $40 tickets include a chance to win $250 and a dinner choice of prime rib or chicken. Dinner will be followed by an auction.
"Every dime goes directly back to Payson youth," said Kiwanis President Lucinda Campbell. "We support over 30 projects including accelerated reading in the schools. We give a minimum of $10,000 in scholarships to teens going onto college."
Attendees will be given leis and the opportunity to bid on items such as a three-tier diamond necklace, a set of luggage and an auto package.
If the dinner and auction aren't enough to put the event on your social calendar, club members are selling raffle tickets for two vacation packages. You do not have to be present to win. Raffle winners could find themselves lounging at Marriot's Newport Beach Coast Villa for a week or heading to Playa Del Costa Sur in Puerto Vallarta Mexico for a week's stay. The winner of the Puerto Vallarta auction also gets $500 cash. Ten dollars buys one chance to win; $20 earns you three chances to win.
Tropical Nights and raffle tickets can be purchased from any member of the Kiwanis. Donations are still being taken for regular auction and silent auction items. For tickets or donations, call (928) 474-6607, (928) 474-6430 or (928) 474-7757.
