Christopher Creek Landmark is back to doing its Sunday afternoon Pool Tournament. They are open to everyone and start at 2 p.m. Last week's winner was Terry Diehl. If you are not into pool you can come out and play horseshoes in their newly refurbished horseshoe pit.

They will also be doing monthly birthday potlucks. The first one starts this Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. Everyone celebrating a birthday in March come out and celebrate. It is a potluck and Kevin promises to provide the birthday cake.

Michelle Grundy's going away party is scheduled for Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. Bring along your favorite potluck and a story to share. Come out and wish Michelle good luck on her move. She is going to be surely missed. She was everyone's favorite nurse here in Christopher Creek.

The Annual St. Patrick's Day celebration is scheduled for Saturday, March 19 at noon. Come out and be sure to wear your green. There will be Irish beer, corned beef and cabbage, Irish beer butt chicken, D.J. music, and St. Patrick's Day favors.

Running of the ducks

The Landmark's second annual running of the rubber duckies is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at 2 p.m. This is always a fun event. Especially since the water in Christopher Creek is really running. Ducks will be available the morning of the race for $5 each. All proceeds go to the Christopher Kohl's Fire Department. There will be prizes for first, second and third place. Come out and race your rubber duck down the runoff swollen Christopher Creek and cheer on your rubber friend to win the coveted "Duck Trophy." Don't "duck" out of this one.

I can't believe I am saying this already but it's true the Easter Bunny is coming. The Christopher Creek Homeowner's Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet contest are set for Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m. This is for the children and grandchildren of Christopher Creek residents. Everyone is to gather at the Forest gate on Elk Run Road at the top of Hillcrest. There will be hunting areas for toddlers through age 5 and another for children ages 6-12. Children should bring their own baskets to find the 400 eggs the big rabbit will be able to hide.

There will be additional prizes for the funniest and cutest bonnets worn by both girls and boys. Immediately following the egg hunt there will be a best bonnet contest among the adults, so get working to create the most fashionable bonnet ever seen on Elk Run Road. Prizes will be awarded.

Don't forget the Christopher Creek Ladies Jammie Party this Friday at Karen Thorton's home at 928 Columbine (second house west of the car wash). Bring your favorite appetizer, wear your cutest P.J.s and bring along a girlfriend. The party will continue on at Creekside and the Landmark. Ladies, it's always a lot of fun.
