Public Asked To Help In Robbery Case

Payson police officers are seeking the public's help in solving a robbery that occurred just before 5 p.m. Feb. 25 behind Quick Cash at 251 E. Highway 260.

According to police reports, the female manager of Quick Cash was leaving the business through the rear door, to make a bank deposit when she was struck on the head and knocked unconscious.

"I never saw who hit me," the victim said. "I was hit from behind and knocked out."

Sgt. Dean Faust responded to the emergency call and requested medical assistance from the Payson Fire Department.

The victim, who wasn't able to provide any type of description to police, was treated at the scene and transported to Payson Regional Medical Center.

She returned to work Feb. 28, but admitted she was shaken by the incident.

"I have about a 1-inch gash on my head," she said.

Police are withholding the amount of money that was taken in the robbery.

A possible witness to the incident came forward yesterday morning to provide some information to police, PPD Commander Don Engler said.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious near the building during the time of the robbery to call Sgt. Tom Tieman at (928) 474-5242, ext. 209.
