The annual Easter Egg Scramble at Green Valley Park starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26. There will be hunts for different age groups, plus a visit by the Easter Bunny and a llama, courtesy of the Payson Humane Society. Plan now to welcome spring at the park.

While not an official Easter event, the Payson Girl Scout neighborhood is holding a fund-raiser benefit pancake breakfast and silent auction from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at Julia Randall Elementary cafeteria.

Skip Boldt, the father of one of the area's Girl Scouts must close his Payson business to go to California to await a heart transplant. The Boldt family will lose their main source of income and the Girl Scouts would like to support them by helping with medical and living expenses. The majority of the proceeds from this event will be donated directly to help this Payson family.

The success depends on the support of our community. Girl Scouts will be selling tickets to the breakfast for $3 per person (children 3 and under will be free). Generous donations from local businesses will be used in themed baskets for the silent auction which will be held during the breakfast.

Please contact Monika Oakley at (928) 474-4450 for more information, tickets, or if you would like to donate something to our auction.
