Larry Leroy Sprang, 69, of Payson, died March 29, 2005. He was born May 19, 1935 in Mansfield, Ohio.
Mr. Sprang was a jack-of-all-trades and worked in many different fields during his life. He retired from the Navy after 23 years, a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars; was a police officer in San Diego; worked in heating and air conditioning; Bud's Plumbing; and lastly, in May 2004, he retired from Northern Gila County Sanitary District.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Marlene; daughters, Vicky (Henry) Jandayan of Payson and Merri Lee (Ryan) Fernandez of Hawaii; stepchildren, Stacie Sukel of Payson, Aaron (Rikki) Provencal of Sacramento, Calif. and Nathan (Serina) Provencal of El Dorado, Calif.; grandchildren, Jason (Micah) Tutay of Payson, Daniel (Erin) Tutay of Chandler, Virginia (Jared) Shaw of New Mexico, Jessica and Kaiulani Fernandez of Hawaii, Joseph Sukel of Pennsylvania, Fathom and Kania Provencal of Sacramento, Calif. and Caitlin, Adriana and Jordan Provencal of California; great-grandchildren, Jayson, Jayden and Brooklyn; brothers, Bob and Jerry Sprang of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., April 2 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1616 N. McLane Road in Payson.
