Time Out Shelter Gets Diamondbacks Grant

It was a doubleheader for the local shelter for victims of domestic violence of Time Out, Inc.

Arizona Diamondbacks Charities awarded $2,500 to the local shelter for playground upgrades which will include a basketball hoop and play equipment.

Gerry Bailey, executive director, accepted the award at Bank One Ballpark. Bailey and Director of Operations Darlene Curlee were then invited to watch the game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. The Diamondbacks won.

"We offer our children therapy, arts and crafts, and safety, but sometimes the best therapy is to feel like a normal kid," stated Bailey, "an upgraded play area will mean the world to these children."
