The Ninth Annual Rusty Cooper Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament was a total success. According to Karen Thorton it was the most profitable tournament they ever had. They had a great turnout along with some wonderful weather and a profitable raffle, and because of all that they were able to present three $2,400 scholarships to Payson seniors Casey Christensen, Karis Blalock, and Retosha Marshall.
The winners of the golf tournament were: Best Score Men -- Carl Barker, Best Score Women -- Linda Teasley, Longest Drive Men -- Jerry Thompson, Longest Drive Women -- Laura Kulagoska, Closest to the pin -- Wayne Alvin and Best Golf Attire went to Bubba Babb.
