W.A. Scott caught approximately 40 fish at Roosevelt Lake recently, releasing the small ones. He landed a few that weighed about 2 pounds.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department's Web site reports that the bass fishing outlook at Roosevelt is fantastic. Crappie fishing is still OK at night, but some anglers are targeting the speckled beauties that are keyed to submerged brush during the day in the coves in 15 to 25 feet of water.
