Ernest Arthur Francisco, Jr., 82, of Payson, died Nov. 9, 2005. He was born Oct. 14, 1923 in Franklin, Penn.
Mr. Francisco was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Africa during World War II. He moved to Arizona in 1949.
Mr. Francisco was chief deputy treasurer of Pima County before his retirement in 1988. While in Tucson, he was past master of Adobe Lodge No. 41 and a charter member of the Sabbar Shrine Temple.
He and his wife moved to Payson in 1989. In Payson, he was active in the Tonto Rim Sports Club, as well as the El Zaribah Shrine Club and Payson Lodge No. 70.
He is survived by his wife, LaVonne Francisco; daughter, Carolyn (John) Rogers; son, David (Jan) Francisco; stepsons, Jerry Walker and Dale (Debbie) Walker; sister, Barbara Love; sister-in-law, Rita Francisco, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Masonic memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Cathedral of the Holy Nativity, 1414 N. Easy St.
