Carolyn Collins Young died Oct. 13, 2005.

Mrs. Young was an elementary school teacher, tutor, Sunday school teacher, and pastor's wife. She taught school for more than 30 years in Texas and Michigan. She did mission work in Canada and various parts of the United States.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dwight L. Young, formerly of Payson; daughters, Brenda (Tom) Ferrell of Knoxville, Tenn., Peggy (Ron) Chase of Phoenix, Sharon L. Maddox of Dallas, Ga. and Sandra (David) Burnham of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Brian Ferrell, Michael and Justin Chase, Jess, Brett and Hunter Maddox, and Derrick and Shannon Burnham; great-grandchild, Tanner Chase; and sister, Barbara (David) Young of Jefferson City, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Hugh G. Collins; mother, Lola V. Collins; and brothers, Charles and Felix Collins.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association.
