Q: I want to find out about the lights at the rodeo grounds. I have driven by there several times and they are on. When I have stopped, it has been town employees out there exercising their horses. I wonder who pays to keep those lights on. Is it just a benefit of working for the town?
A: "It is not town employees. Sean Morgan has rented the facility to hold ropings two to three nights a week, and there are some town employees who rope.
"The recreation center (rodeo grounds) is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day. People can ride in there whenever they need to. It is a public facility. We have 4-H there on Monday evenings. Up through last week, there was something scheduled there almost every single day and evening, with the exception of Sunday. There are two arenas, and the walk-through gate on the northwest corner of the grounds is always open. Call (928) 474-5242, ext. 7 for scheduling."
