Help For Katrina Survivors Grows

Working together with the local chapter of the American Red Cross, the Time Out Thrift Shop will hold a "bag sale plus" next week.

On Wednesday, Sept. 14, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., visitors to the thrift shop can fill a bag with clothing for men, women and children for $1 and leave the bag at the shop.

Red Cross volunteers will pick up the filled bags and arrange for distribution to the hurricane survivors.

Donations of money will also be accepted on behalf of the Red Cross.

For more information, call the thrift shop at (928) 474-3989.

The local chapter of the Salvation Army is also asking Rim Country residents to help the effort to assist hurricane evacuees in Arizona.
