Go to the annual business showcase, Business Frontier Roundup, next weekend, and there will be something to see everywhere you look.
The purpose of the showcase is to introduce the public to what businesses and services are available in the Rim Country and to help business owners get better acquainted.
The showcase, which is taking place at the Tonto Apache Recreation Center, has more than 50 exhibitors participating. The showcase is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 15. There is no admission and all booths will give away a prize, worth at least $25.
Businesses and services will not be making any sales at the showcase, but appointments can be made.
A preshowcase mixer is open to members of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce and exhibitors from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 14. All booths will be open and staffed for the mixer.
Eight prizes will be awarded to the exhibitors, including best display for the showcase theme, "Business Frontier Roundup," best business presentation, best of show, judges' choice, committee's choice, media choice, best outside booth and the people's choice.
This year the chamber is being assisted by showcase sponsor, the Tonto Apache Tribe.
"They have been a really wonderful partner," said John Stanton, showcase coordinator.
