Twenty-five students from Claudette Barker's watercolor classes at Gila Community College will display their watercolor paintings on the walls of Fireside Espresso through April.
The paintings reflect the breadth of the students' aesthetic abilities
"It's exceptional," Barker said. "The students in this class (range from) beginners who have never picked up a brush before to people who are experienced painters."
Some create flowers, others paint landscapes and scenery.
Barker said she's been painting for the past 35 years and teaching for 30. During the summer, she instructs classes in Colorado.
A member of the Payson Art League, Barker shows her work in Sedona. Her passions are landscapes, flowers, rivers and streams. Most paintings are professionally framed. Some are for sale.
Fireside Espresso is located at 614 N. Beeline Highway, (928) 474-6200.
