Carl Arthur Glenn died April 16, 2006 in Phoenix.

Mr. Glenn was born in Flint, Mich. on Dec. 2, 1921 to Eustace McLellen Glenn and Melissa Gatlin Glenn. After attending school in Flint he graduated from General Motors Technical College. He then moved to Phoenix where he became a Journeyman Electrician through the IBEW Local 640 apprenticeship program. He also attended Phoenix College.

Mr. Glenn worked on the Alaska Pipeline, Palo Verde Nuclear Plant, Glen Canyon Dam and many large buildings in Arizona and throughout the United States and Canada.

His son and daughter by a previous marriage are, Robert Glenn of Sevierville, Tenn. and Joyce Gathe who is deceased.

He married Dorothy Reiley Ormiston in 1961. She had two children by a previous marriage, Loretta Jean Ormiston Elzey of American Fork, Utah and James A. Ormiston of Phoenix.

The couple lived in Phoenix and Mesa until he retired from electrical work. They enjoyed square dancing, traveling and organ-guitar or harmonica duets and they entertained residents at nursing homes in Payson.

Mr. Glenn lived in Payson for 25 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mr. Glenn is survived by his wife, Dorothy R. Glenn; children, Robert Glenn (Ida), Jean Elzey (Mike), Jim Ormiston (Pam) and sisters, Mary Hayes, Virginia Jewell (John) and brother Kenneth Geren (Maxine) as well as 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Lampton, Delores Shaver, and daughter Joyce Gathe.

Viewing will be at noon on Saturday, April 22 at Black Canyon Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Relief Society room, 8602 N. 31st Ave. in Phoenix. Funeral services will follow at the same location. Funeral arrangements by Heritage Funeral Chapel, Peoria. Interment will be at Greenwood Memory Lawn in Phoenix.
