Harold "Bud" Conard, of Gisela, died on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. He was born in Newport, Neb. on Feb. 1, 1925.
He was a carpenter by trade. He also fancied himself to be a good horseman, and rode until he became ill with cancer at age 79.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Merna Conard; two daughters, Lana Day and Loy Grotts; and one granddaughter, Wendy Mason.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29 at the Gisela Community Church, with a potluck following.
