Hello, my name is Della Elliott. I am an 18-year-old senior at Payson High School. You know, I am always listening to older people and they say that high school is supposed to be the best four years of your life.
This is really hard for me to believe, at least at this high school. The principal, Mr. Sandovol of Payson High School, told me that he wouldn't allow me to take my boyfriend to the prom because he is 22 years of age. I believe that you should be allowed to take anyone in their 20s to the prom if you are 18 years of age and are willing to be responsible for his or her actions at prom.
I also hear that your senior year is supposed to be the best year in high school. How can this be if you can't take your boyfriend to your senior prom? There is nothing in the student/parent handbook about who you take to prom or their age. Thanks for reading my opinion. I would love to attend prom with that special someone.
