Be sure and take care of your mother on Mother's Day, May 14. Here are some places you can take her out to eat.

The Landmark will be serving a Mother's Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Creekside Steakhouse will be serving a special menu plus their regular menu.

Kohl's Ranch will be serving a six-course plated brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come out and meet their new chef, Jedidiah Jones who has worked at the Los Abragos in Sedona and most recently at The Carriage House in Las Vegas.

The 10th Annual Rusty Cooper Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, at Pine Meadows Country Club in Overgaard.

This will be their 10th and final Tournament. They want to make this year's tournament the most outstanding tournament ever for Rusty.

Hole-in-one prizes donated by Courtesy Chevrolet include a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer, Premium Electronics Package, Calloway Irons and a Big Berta 454 Driver.

There are trophies for best score (male and female), longest drive (male and female), closet to the pin, and best golf attire.

Now, a reminder of what this tournament is all about. Rusty Cooper's dream was to be a teacher. After 20 years as an electrician, he went back to school to fulfill his dream. He hoped to teach in Payson. He spent five years building a cabin on the banks of Christopher Creek, and on Nov. 2, 1995, a few months prior to graduation, at the mere age of 43, Rusty died of a heart attack.

He was awarded his diploma posthumously. This tournament, which is in honor of Rusty, will once again benefit Payson High School seniors in the form of one or more scholarships in his memory.

Thanks to everyone's help, last year's tournament was a tremendous success. As a result of everyone's support, they were able to award $2400 scholarships to Payson High School seniors Retosha Marshall, Casey Christensen, and Karis Blalock.

The Firebelles will have a wide variety of refreshments available -- brats, hot dogs and ice cream. They will also be hosting a bake sale.
