Editor:

Regarding Niki Hall's tragic demise, your headline should have been, "Beautiful young Payson woman mercilessly slain." How convenient for the killer that the voices told him to kill a gentle young woman, instead of a strong young man.

Niki Hall was a young person who, as in the case of most modern young people, had to overcome some very difficult situations in her young life. She had begun to flower. She was facing her problems and advancing her studies at Mesa Community College. She was becoming a wonderful human being. Her loss is a great loss. Her kindheartedness was repaid with despicable brutality. Nevertheless, we have to believe that her kindhearted soul is now very much at peace and her loveliness will prevail in our minds and hearts for many years to come.

Ken and Maria Cohen, Payson
