Nancy Jean Smith, 78, of Payson, died Aug. 4, 2006.
She was born Oct. 7, 1927 and raised in Kalispell, Mont., and went to Flathead High School and the University of Missoula, where she met the love of her life, Edward R. Smith.
In the mid-1960s, they moved to California with their three young children, where Nancy pursued a career in banking. She and Ed moved to Payson in 1985 upon retiring.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ed Smith; daughters, Cheri Kinney and Pamn Baptist; son, Ralph "Bink" Smith; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Nolan of Missoula, Mont.

A celebration of Mrs. Smith's life will be held at her home, 310 E. Chateau Circle, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13.
