Financial Business Focuses On The Individual

Paul Pfeifer will have a one-year anniversary next month. He will be celebrating his Southwest Financial Solutions corporation's first birthday. With the company, Pfeifer provides financial and estate planning services, along with investment purchases.

Pfeifer opened the company after carefully researching financial services corporations with which to become affiliated. SFS is affiliated with both Western International Securities and Bear Stearns. Western International verifies that Pfiefer's sales comply with all the rules and regulations and Bear Stearns provides a kind of quality assurance, seeing that the sales are processed according to the clients' wishes.

Paul Pfeifer and his wife, Barbara Zirinsky, have been operating their company, Southwest Financial Solutions, for almost a year. They have another office in Cottonwood and are planning to open in Prescott in the near future.

He was formerly an investment representative with the Edward Jones company.

"The difference in this company is it's not a huge corporation," he said. "I can provide detailed, individual attention to my clients, catering to their needs, not a big corporation's goals and objectives."

He chose Western International Securities as his broker because of its attention to the individual and the fact it is interested in growing the broker dealers.

Pfeifer is in his Payson office, 1107 N. Beeline, Suite A, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mondays and Tuesdays are spent in Cottonwood. Someone is always in both offices though -- his wife, Barbara Zirinsky, takes care of the Payson office, and Linda Woods handles the Verde Valley office. He is also available most evenings by appointment in Payson.

With SFS, Pfeifer offers just about every financial service, but says his favorite work is in estate planning and increasing safer income for retirees.

After the first of the year he plans to start an education program.

"My goal is to see at least a million people taught about investments," he said. "I won't focus on what's the hottest thing at the moment, but what meets an individual's needs."
