Memorial Cross On Highway Comfort To Family

We want to say thank you to John Whetten for his guest commentary in the July 28 Payson Roundup. We are Jerry and Chris Floyd, the parents of Kayla Floyd.

Kayla was 17 years old when she died as a result of an auto accident on South Beeline Highway in July 2005. Her memorial cross along the highway is a great comfort and part of the healing process for her family and many friends. It also serves as a reminder that we need to be careful when traveling our highways. An accident can happen so fast for whatever reason.

We, like Mr. Whetten, hope and pray that Ms. Cohen never experiences what we have.

On the one-year anniversary of Kayla's accident, her brother and some of his friends went to the memorial cross.
