The Rim Country Middle School's annual practice-a-thon was held in the school's gym Friday night.
The 12-hour, all-night fund-raising event included 66 band and flag team members who collected community pledges from residents amounting to nearly $5,000.
The money raised will be used to purchase flag team uniforms, poles, flags, and much-needed student instruments, such as flutes, clarinets and saxophones.
Anyone interested in assisting in this effort to purchase flag uniforms, equipment and instruments can send donations to RCMS, P.O. Box 919, Payson, AZ, 85547.
