"Crossing Leadfoot" -- what is that? Is it the title for a new television show, slated for production this fall?
No. It's what automobile drivers currently face when driving the highways in and out of Payson; particularly on Highway 87, because that leads into the Valley.
From what I've read in the news, a "Payson Bypass Route" is a long way down the road. However, there's several things we can do now to prevent a catastrophe from coming about.
Whenever you double your speed, it takes four times as much distance to stop and your vehicle will have four times the destructive power if it crashes. How cool is that?
So, what do you do when encountering a leadfoot? You let them pass. You utilize your skills by driving all the way to the right and pulling over into the turnouts provided. Just make sure that he/she passes safely.
Beware when crossing leadfoot.
