Ardella Lou Keith died Dec. 3, 2006, at the age of 67 in her home, with her husband of 51 years, Donald D. Keith, at her side. She lost a long battle to cancer and heart disease.
Mrs. Keith was born March 21, 1939 in Bellingham, Wash., to Stanley H. Waylett and Minerva Vivian Lambert Waylett.
She married Donald D. Keith March 11, 1955 and moved to Pine, Ariz. in 1973 to be closer to her husband's family. They moved to Payson in 1975 where they started their business, Gollipops in 1982. Mrs. Keith loved working with the developmentally disabled at the family's business and won numerous awards for her efforts with this special population.
She was an avid fan of the Payson Longhorns, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Cowboys. She loved to fish, travel and spend time with her family, to whom she was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She was always there for anyone who needed her.
Survivors include her husband, Donald D. Keith; her mother, Minerva Waylett, and brother Randall (Tina) S. Waylett, both of Shelton, Wash.; her children, Debbie (Tim) Bunting, of Shelton, Wash., and Valerie Kaufman, Stanley (Laurie) Keith, Darrin (Kristin) Keith and Jason Keith, all of Payson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way, and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by her father, Stanley H. Waylett.
The viewing is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the First Assembly of God Church, 1100 W. Lake Drive, Payson, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park in Round Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Keith's name may be made to any breast cancer research organization of the American Heart Association.
