I couldn't let this edition of the Roundup publish without a word of praise for the Payson High School music students who performed in the Winter Concert Monday evening.
The auditorium audience sat mesmerized as band and choir students put on a show filled with powerful music, song and dance.
Along with group performances from the mixed and modern choirs, and the Longhorn concert band, soloists stepped in front of the curtain to present olios of their choosing.
The students presented beautiful stories in song that touched the hearts of the audience and conveyed the spirit of the season.
We enjoyed songs of Christmas, songs of love, songs of praise and even a song that, while sung completely in Japanese, still conveyed a passionate message of love and life.
I would like to thank all the music students, PHS music instructor Larry Potvin and accompanist Greg Larkins for a wonderful concert.
