Candidate Is Breath Of Fresh Air

The council meetings that I have attended in the past 10 years each have consistently demonstrated weak and loose structuring. There never seems to be a cap on members' commentaries, while at the same time audience input is severely limited.

Retired firefighter Mike Vogel's 18 years of experience as a negotiator/mediator, and five years as a township supervisor are what is needed to start righting the council ship to an even and efficient keel. He is refreshingly candid, goal-oriented and a good listener.

At present, we do not have strong leadership in individual council members, people who listen to all the citizens, and draw upon a consensus of opinion.

Mike Vogel is a leader, not a follower, and will help give the council the drive to get pressing issues resolved.

Mike is what we all need -- a breath of fresh air. Get a whiff by e-mailing Mike at vote4mike@ for a response to any issue on your mind. Most important, please attend the Candidate Forum at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7, at the Payson High School. Although there is hardly enough time for 10 candidates to make their positions clear on a wide variety of issues, their limited commentary may prove to be worthwhile to the voter.
