Curtis James Kennedy, 93, of Payson, died Jan. 30, 2006. He was born Dec. 19, 1912 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Kennedy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a sheet metal mechanic, mostly in California, for more than 30 years before retiring in 1975. He moved to Applegate, Ore., then to Payson in early 2002.
He is survived by his son, Larry (Joyce) of Payson; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joan, of Central Point; and his sweetheart, Barbara Tejack, of Payson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Nyla; and son, Daniel James.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at Payson United Methodist Church. Interment and an additional memorial will be held at a graveside service at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford, Ore.
