U.S. Senator In Payson To Discuss Forest Health

U.S. Senator Jon Kyl will participate in a special forest health discussion Saturday.

The senator will join Gila County District One Supervisor Tommie Martin, State Senator Jake Flake, Payson Town Councilor George Barriger, Payson District Ranger Ed Armenta, Fire Chief Chuck Jacobs of the Houston Mesa Fire Department and the Regional Payson Area Project for a Firewise Community (RPAP) and others to review the status of the Tonto National Forest and wooded areas of the Rim Country.

The discussion is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 in the community room at the Payson campus of Gila Community College.
