Dog, Owner Training Classes Begin March 4


Beginning Saturday, March 4, Payson Humane Society will offer training classes for dog owners and their canine companions.

Lessons will include housetraining and crate training techniques, the importance of puppy socialization, controlling hyperactivity, managing the shy dog, being the leader in your dog's eyes, walking on a loose leash, and more.


The Payson Humane Society will offer a series of training classes on Saturdays beginning in March.

All classes will meet for five sessions on Saturdays, and the cost for each class is $60 (nonrefundable).

Puppy Class, recommended for dogs approximately 3 months old, will meet from 11 a.m. to noon.

Behavior Modification Class teaches interaction with other dogs and people in various settings such as the vet's office, out on the street, in your home, and at the off-leash park. The class will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Adolescent/Adult Dog Class will meet from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
