Bonnie Edna Morey McClanahan died Jan. 11, 2006. She was born in Potter County, Pa. April 2, 1931. Her parents moved to Arizona in 1943. She and her husband and son moved to Pine in 1960.
Mrs. McClanahan ran the Old Settlers Trading Post in Pine for 37 years. She was an avid gardener and noted ceramic artist, producing and selling many original pieces. She shared her talent by teaching at the Payson Art Center and Grand Canyon University in the 1970s.
She cared for elderly neighbors, collected clothing and blankets for the needy in her community, around the state, and northern Mexico. She also helped start churches.
Mrs. McClanahan is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lee; son, Teel; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at noon Saturday, Jan. 21 at The Church on Randall Place, in Pine.
