Frontier Elementary School's K-Kids program, sponsored by Zane Grey Kiwanis, is selling bottled water to other students at school. The money raised will be used to purchase items for soldier care packages.
The club's long-term project is still collecting donations of items like leashes, cat litter, dog and cat food for the Payson Humane Society.
The Junior Volleyball Club is selling Indian taco dinners Friday, Jan. 27 to raise money for the club.
Payson grad on Dean's List
Katherine Ford, of Payson, now a freshman at Southern Utah University, majoring in dance education, is one of 653 students named to the Dean's List for the fall semester. To be included on the SUU Dean's List, a student must carry an academic load of at least 15 credits (for which a letter grade is awarded), and earn a grade point average of at least a 3.6. Straight A's equal a 4.0.
PHS grad earns fall honors
Sarah Hummer, a graduate of Payson High School, is on the Central Lakes College, Brainerd and Staples, Minn., 2005 fall semester honors list.
She earned a spot on the President's List, which includes 239 students who earned a grade-point average of 3.75-4.0 while enrolled for at least 12 credits (4.0 = A, 3.0 = B, etc.)
