Paul Ernest Pluess died Jan. 27, 2006. He was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Paul Pluess and Ada Seith Pluess.
As a young man, Mr. Pluess worked for Conn Edison, but he began his career as an engineer in 1940, with Sperry Gyroscope, on Long Island, N.Y.
He married the love his life, Helen Reiners, in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Aug. 3, 1940.
After his retirement in 1969, he relocated to Clearwater, Fla. for a brief period, and then settled in Payson in 1970.
He continued to reside in Payson after the 1988 death of his wife and moved to Tucson in 1998. In January 2005, he became a resident at Rose of Sharon Family Home.
He is survived by his daughters, Susie Pluess Anderson and Linda Pluess (David) Tibolla; son, Paul Edward (Kathleen Barnes) Pluess; grandchildren, Danielle Frasier, Nina Taber, Heather Tibolla, Elissa Pluess and Hajo Pluess; great-grandchildren, Logan Taber and Olivia Taber.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother, Arnold; sister, Marguerite; and wife, Helen.
