Peggy Sievers, 83, of Payson, died June 29, 2006. She was born June 23, 1923 in Beaver City, Neb. to Fred and Blanche Strickland.
She moved to Arizona shortly after World War II where she met and married Jeff Sievers. The couple soon established a successful business, Sievers Taxidermy in Phoenix.
Mrs. Sievers was an avid hunter. She hunted worldwide from Africa to Alaska in addition to getting the Arizona Big 10.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Lamoyn) Swenson of Payson; and grandson, Clayton Swenson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff; brother, Gene Strickland; and sister, Dona Edgar.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7 at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale.
