Barrel, Pole Bending Season Ending

Stevee Hancock was among the competitors in the annual 7D Barrel and Pole Bending Series, sponsored by the Payson Parks and Recreation Department. The last event in the series will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, if weather permits.

Awards will be presented to the riders based on points accumulated during the series, which started June 7 and has been held at the Payson Event Center.

If there is a rain delay, the final event in the series and awards program will be Aug. 2.

A new contest, the Turn & Burn Series begins Aug. 9 and continues through Sept. 28. It will be held every Wednesday, with books opening at 5:30 p.m. and races starting at 6:30 p.m. The series is progressive in format, so there are no age group competitions. The entry fee is $5 per event.
