Johnson Is Commander Of Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency

Air Force Col. Kim M. Johnson, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. George and Dolores Greensfelder, have lived in Pine for 13 years, is the commander of the Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.

The AFPCA is the lead Air Force agency for providing communications systems and services for Air Force headquarters, Office of the Secretary of Defense, the National Military Command Center and other agencies within the National Capital Region.

AFPCA can trace its organizational lineage back to 1951, and is a vitally important player on the Air Force team in the global was on terror.

"My husband and I visit Payson/Pine every year and really enjoy the community," Colonel Johnson said. "As a matter of fact, we enjoy the area so much, my husband, Willem, and I chose to be married in the Strawberry Chapel nearly 11 years ago.

"After my time on active duty comes to a close, we would like to retire in the area permanently."
