The Payson Police Department is asking for anyone who came in contact with a rabid fox this past week to contact them immediately.
Town of Payson Animal Control Officer Don Tanner said a rabid fox was discovered Wednesday, July 19 on the east side of town in the Chaparral Pines area.
Tanner said if a pet or person came in contact with the fox between July 15 to July 19, he should be notified at (928) 474-5177, ext. 255.
