Comments About Roadside Memorials Were Rude

My family and I have lived in Payson for 10 years. We couldn't have picked a better place.

Although this town does have drugs, violence and vandalism, I just look past the bad and see the good. Isn't it great to be able to do that?

I was reading the letter ("Roadside memorials are offensive" by Jeanne Medley).

You say they are offensive and hideous. How rude of you to say something like that. I drive to Phoenix every day for my job, and when you see sticks, I see another family who has lost a loved one. Those sticks that you see remind me every day how dangerous the roads really are. Although I do have a solution to your problem: Turn your head and look the other way.

One more thing I would like to say: Sorry to all the people out there who have nosy neighbors; sorry you are not allowed to fix your car in your yard because your neighbors think it's trash and they make a call and report you. Sorry you are not allowed to have noisy dogs. If only I could find a way to breed voiceless dogs. Sorry those weeds grow in your yard and you just don't have enough time to pick them once a week because you have two or three jobs just to make ends meet. Some people are just not happy unless they are causing problems.

To all the nosy neighbors, last I checked it was a free country, but please tell me what we can do to make your life perfect?

H. Thomas, Payson
