Turn on, tune in and drop out Saturday evening during the Payson Rotary Club's third annual Tips for Rotarians fund-raiser.
"It's 1960s-themed," said Rotarian, and the evening's DJ, Fred Carpenter. "Wear flowers in your hair and beads. It'll be fun."
But don't forget to bring money with all that flower power. The Rotary raises money through the tips they make during the evening serving meals and drinks.
The Payson Rotary Club -- also known as "afternoon Rotary" -- donates those gratuities, and proceeds from the auction, to local nonprofit groups such as the Payson schools' beautification project, St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank and the Time Out Shelter.
Hitch a ride off Haight-Ashbury and hang out for the Rotarian experience complete with a psychedelic barbecue and politically conscious tunes.
The summer of love lasts from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday June 10 at the Main Street Grille, 201 W. Main St.
Tickets are $20 each. Score them at the door, from Payson Rotary Club members or call (928) 970-7007.
