Chase Manhattan Bank on Beeline Highway was evacuated Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was made to the business.

Payson Police Department Commander Don Engler said police searched the interior and exterior portions of the bank where customers had access.

Engler said police received a call shortly after 9 a.m. after a person called the bank to report that he had placed explosives inside.

Three police vehicles and about five officers responded to the threat.

Engler said the employees of the bank had evacuated by the time police officers arrived.

Employees were allowed back in the bank shortly after 10 a.m. when no explosives were found.
